Hey there. I am back at blogging after such a long time. Nevertheless, it is a famous saying in hindi : "Der se aaye, par durust aaye", which means that though i am quite late, i haven't lost the touch of "writing the blog".
This post is all about the site that I and my other two friends have created. The url of the site is Jagteraho . The site is created by DNA Webtech (that's us!!) - Deep Patel, Nikunj Kakkad and Amit Panchal. The website is a supplement to the current website of our college - L D College of Engineering, and is dedicated to all the students and faculties of our college.
But the question is, why Jagteraho? What's so special about it? Well, if you have visited the website then probably you know the answer very well. And if you haven't, then let me take you to "The Jagteraho Ride"
Jagteraho provides various facilities and I am going to describe only some of them. They are as follows :
Academic Materials : We currently have 14 branches of Engineering in LD College. The students from 1st to 8th semester are in need of Academic Material. For example they need E-Books related to their branch, Presentations on various topics, Past Exam Papers, Notices and Tutorial as well as Practicals list from teachers, etc. We provide each and everything of it. And guess what? We don't take a dime from them. Not a single nickel to fill our pockets. At Jagteraho, everything is Free!
E Campus : One of the best facilities of Jagteraho. You would have surely heard about campus recruitment. This is the Online Campus Recruitment for the registered users of Jagteraho. The users can create their Job Profiles and can apply to various Job Openings. The concerned company gets a mail in their Jagteraho Inbox with the details of the candidates who have applied for their opening. And in such a way, Jagteraho provides job opportunities to its users. And again, it's free for our users!
Connect : The other major service that we provide is Connect. Connect is typical Social Networks that have attracted huge amount of users. But Connect refers and involves a specific group of people. The students of the users can Connect with the faculties and their Seniors/Juniors and ask anything they want. There is no such thing like a "Friend Request". At Jagteraho, everyone is a friend. The other facility under Connect is that of File Upload/Download.
Services : The other big section is that of Services. The service page incorporates facilities like Important Links (some useful links so that users don't have to go "googling" about them, Latest News (direct RSS Feed from a well known News Channel so that our users remain in touch with the Top Stories), Latest Events and Competitions (the updates about the latest technical and non - technical events happening in LD and around), Articles (the articles are posted by users and are also visible to guest visitors. Articles are written about various interesting categories) and last but not the least - the Download section which allows users to download Academic Material as described above.
Forums : The next facility is that of Forums. We are all aware of the power of that little word, aren't we? Forums are for discussion of various issues or problems regarding anything and everything one could possibly imagine. Here the user can post the question and the other users can see that question and if he knows the solution to that problem he can post the reply. As simple as that. Do i have to explain everything to you in great length??
Nammi : This one is my personal favorite. What good is it if you cannot help the one who really needs it. Nammi is headed and handled by a friend of mine - Pankaj Pal. Nammi is the name of the NGO Group which literally means - "wetness of an eye" and by that we refer to Emotion, Sentiments and all such sweet things of life that are long forgotten. Nammi is actively helping the poor and needy people. We currently collect donations from our members (whose number we hope will get bigger and bigger) as we progress.
